Power-to-Olefins: Electrified Steam Cracking and Plasma Booster
P2O seeks to significantly reduce CO2 emissions associated with the production of olefins. The project aims to replace large furnaces in the chemical industry with a combination of two new reactor concepts. Through this combination, renewable electricity will be converted into heat to avoid burning methane as an energy source, and plasma technology will be used to turn residual methane into valuable chemicals.
